New Moon in Cancer: light the heart flame ritual

On June 25th, the New Moon in Cancer invites us into softness. This is the moment to retreat inward, nurture our heart, and reconnect with what makes us feel truly at home. Cancer, ruled by the Moon itself, is deeply intuitive, emotional, and connected to the inner world.

This is a beautiful time to plant seeds of self-love, emotional healing, and inner belonging.

To celebrate this New Moon I prepared a ritual for you - Light the heart flame. This is a tender candle ritual designed to open your heart, reconnect with your emotional center, and remind you that you are divinely held, even in moments of uncertainty.

You will be working with the gentle power of flame and either Archangel Haniel or the Goddess Selene as your guide.

Light the heart flame - New Moon in Cancer ritual

What you need:

• white or pale blue candle

• small crystal for the heart or moon (like moonstone, rose quartz, or selenite)

• journal, notebook or piece of paper, pen

 Choose your ally:

• Archangel Haniel - the angel of intuition, love, grace, and lunar magic. She supports emotional healing and helps connect with the Moon's energy

• Goddess Selene - the Greek Moon goddess, radiant and mysterious. She blesses dreams, femininity, and heart-centered rituals. Selenite is named after her

 How to do the ritual:

1. Cleanse your space with smoke, selenite, or intention

2. Ground yourself. Light a candle

3. Call in your chosen guide. Speak aloud or in your heart:

   "I call upon [Archangel Haniel / Goddess Selene] to guide me through this New Moon. Help me open the flame of my heart. Let me feel safe, held, and whole"

4. Hold a chosen crystal in your hand and ask yourself these questions:

   What do I need to feel emotionally safe?

   What am I ready to receive in love and softness?

   Let your answers flow gently.

5. Sit with your crystal and let your divine guide offer any final messages

6. If you feel like, write down in your journal what came to you during this ritual

7. Close the ritual. Thank Haniel or Selene. Blow out the candle with gratitude
