Full Moon in Scorpio: create your sigil

The Full Moon in Scorpio arrives on May 12th, casting its mysterious glow over our deepest emotions, hidden desires, and shadowy corners. Scorpio energy asks us to go beyond the surface, to transform what’s buried, and to reclaim our power.

Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, planet of death, transformation and rebirth - so this is the perfect time to let go of what no longer serves you and emerge stronger and wiser.

And what better way to honor this mystical moon than by creating your very own magical sigil?

What is a sigil?

A sigil is a magical symbol, charged with intention. It’s a visual spell- something you create to carry the energy of your desire or affirmation. We will create our magical full moon sigil to transform a limiting belief, fear, or hidden wound into a source of power.

Step 1: Name the shadow

Name the shadow you want to release. Take a moment to reflect:

• What emotion or fear has been surfacing lately?

• Is there a pattern or belief you’re ready to shift?

Example: “I am afraid of being seen,” or “I believe I’m not enough.”

Write your shadow down on a piece of paper.

If you know your natal chart, check what house and what planets do you have in Scorpio, especially around 22 degree. It could give you some idea for your shadow/power

 Step 2: Rewrite the power

Now, change that belief into an empowered truth.

Examples:

• “I fear being seen” can become → “I shine unapologetically”

• “I’m not enough” can become → “I am whole and powerful”

Write down your new affirmation. Use your own words - it will be more powerful

Step 3: Create your sigil

Take the affirmation and remove all repeating letters.

For example: I AM WHOLE AND POWERFUL → IAMWHOLEPNRFG

Now combine and stylize those letters into a unique symbol - let it be intuitive. Use curves, lines, crosses - this is your magic. It doesn’t have to be “perfect,” it just needs to feel powerful to you.

The described method is one of the ways of drawing a sigil. Some people prefer to use the so-called Witches Wheel (a wheel with letters of the alphabet), others change letters to numbers, etc. I like such intuitive drawing 😊

 Step 4: Charge it under the Full Moon

Hold your sigil under the light of the Scorpio Full Moon. You can say:

“By the light of the Full Moon, I reclaim my power. This sigil holds my truth and my transformation. So mote it be”

Keep your sigil somewhere meaningful- write it in a journal, put it on your altar, or wear as a talisman.
