Season of change ritual

Nature is slowly turning the page. In the Northern Hemisphere, the days are getting longer, the air softer, and the first signs of spring are beginning to appear. It’s a season of growth, renewal, and fresh energy.

Meanwhile, in the Southern Hemisphere, autumn is approaching, a time of reflection, grounding, and gently releasing what has run its course. Different seasons, but there is the same magical moment: change. And astrologically, we are also about to enter Aries season, the beginning of the zodiac cycle. Many astrologers consider this the true energetic new year - a time when the wheel of the zodiac starts turning again. So whether you are stepping into blooming spring or cozy autumn, this is a beautiful moment to pause, reflect, and consciously welcome the next chapter.

Here is a simple spell "Season of change ritual" I prepared for you to welcome the shift of seasons and new beginnings.

Season of change ritual

What you need:

My spells
  • candle: white (universal) or red (action, movement) or yellow (success, happiness)

  • herb: parsley for new beginnings

  • crystal: your favorite one or peach moonstone (guides through new beginnings) or labradorite (helps guide you through times of change), or petrified wood (helps changing your path)

  • a piece of paper and a pen

Steps:

  1. Prepare your space: set up a quiet, clean space for your spell. Light your candle.

  2. Reflect on the change: take a few slow breaths. Think about the season that is arriving where you live. Notice how nature is changing around you. Even small shifts in light, temperature, or atmosphere can be felt.

  3. Focus your intent: on your piece of paper, write down two things:

One thing you are ready to release

One thing you are ready to welcome

It can be something really simple.

  4. Seal the spell: fold the paper and place the parsley on top. Imagine the old season gently washing away and the new one arriving. If you like, say something like:

With the turning of the seasons,

I release what no longer belongs to me

and welcome the energy of what is coming.”

  5. Close the ritual: you can keep paper the in your journal, place it on your altar, or safely burn it and return the ashes to the earth. Blow out the candle with gratitude.

Sometimes the most powerful ritual is simply noticing the change, in the air, in the light, and in yourself.

The seasons are always moving forward, and so are we. So wherever you are in the world, let this be your moment to pause, breathe, and step gently into the next chapter.

The idea for this little spell came to me while I was standing on my balcony, looking at the parsley growing in my mini garden. It reminded me how quietly nature moves from one phase to another and how even the smallest signs of growth can inspire a little magic 🌿
